THE
CHALLENGE -
John O'Groats to Lands End is
a minimum of 874 miles but as it is not legal to
cycle on motorways then it will be around 900 to
1000 miles. To complete this challenge requires
dedication, commitment and a sense of purpose.
Training the body and mind to cope with the daily
distance is an important aspect in the preparation
for this ultimate British Challenge.

THE LEGEND
-
Mick and Paul have worked together ,been to college
together ,each was each others best man and have been known to
have an occasional beverage together (albeit details normally
gets vague and messy after this point!!!).
They believe so much gets achieved when people show the
spirit to achieve it and are hoping ,even if only in a small way
,this event helped reward the great
efforts ,talents and bravery shown by those it is intended to
benefit.

THE CHARITY -
Our
Dad's undertook this challenge in aid of the
Alzheimer's Society .Alzheimer's
Society is the UK's leading care and
research charity for people with dementia
and those who care for them.
There are 700,000 people
with dementia in the UK with numbers set to rise to one million
by 2025.
Alzheimer's
Society is a membership organisation, which works to improve the
quality of life of people affected by dementia in England, Wales
and Northern Ireland.
The Society's
fight for a better world for people with
all types of dementia takes a wide range of forms.
Through their
branches, they touch the lives
of over 30,000 people every week, providing practical services
and support for people with dementia and their carers. Every
year, more than a million people make use of the information
provided.
Through campaigning and lobbying
the Alzheimer's Society strive to
influence government policies and raise awareness of the
challenges faced by people with dementia and the people who care
for them. And through a
research programme work to improve
the knowledge we have about dementia and its treatment -
and pursuing the ultimate goal of finding a cure.
