THE
CHALLENGE -
On Sunday 3rd August 2008 I managed
to successfully complete the 26.4km (17 mile) Open water
Swimming Marathon race in Lake Zurich in 9 hours 39
minutes. Amongst a quality field of swimmers from all
over the world my time was sufficient to earn me a place
on the podium as 3rd fastest in the masters (Old Gits)
category and top Brit. in the group .Switzerland came
first in my group and guy who won also won overall with
a new course record (2nd in the Masters was America).

THE LEGEND
-
Classed as one of the most beautiful Lake swims
in Europe and now having completed it I can agreed. The scenery
and the warmth (21c) of the water make for a great swim.

THE CHARITY -
Disability
Challengers -
A small
charity for children with disabilities with the
purpose to enable children to challenge their impairments
through Play in a stimulating and safe environment. They
currently have an ambitious project call the ‘Big Play’
